Team Building and Leadership

Corporate Team Building & Leadership Coaching

Equine-assisted learning (EAL) is an experiential learning approach that involves interactions with horses to achieve personal and professional growth. While typically associated with therapeutic applications, EAL can also offer many proven benefits for corporate team building.

Non-traditional Learning Environment: These are not your usual team building days. Our team building and leadership days take your people out of the office setting and places them in a unique, novel and unfamiliar environment. This change of scenery can encourage fresh perspectives, creativity, and out-of-the-box thinking, promoting innovative problem-solving among team members and support improved interpersonal dynamics.

Enhanced Communication and Collaboration: Horses are highly sensitive animals that respond to nonverbal cues and emotional states. Interacting with horses requires clear communication, trust-building, and cooperation. These interactions help team members improve their communication skills, nonverbal cues, and collaborative abilities, fostering better teamwork within the corporate setting.

Leadership Development: Horses are natural herd animals that rely on strong, clear leadership within their groups. Their leadership styles have much to teach us in how smoothly and effectively they work. Engaging in our specially designed equine activities can provide individuals with opportunities to explore and develop their leadership skills. Participants may discover new aspects of leadership, such as effective decision-making, assertiveness, adaptability, and building trust, which can translate into improved leadership within the workplace.

Self-Awareness and Emotional Intelligence: Horses are intuitive creatures that can sense and respond to human emotions. Working with horses in EAL can help individuals become more self-aware of their emotions, body language, and nonverbal cues. Participants can gain insights into their own emotional intelligence and learn to regulate their emotions effectively. This increased self-awareness can lead to improved interpersonal relationships and emotional management within corporate teams.

Problem Solving and Adaptability: The activites in our teams and leadership programs  involve challenges or obstacles that require creative problem-solving. Working through these challenges with horses can encourage participants to think critically, adapt to changing situations, and find innovative solutions (no ammount of muscle will make a 600+kg animal do something it doesnt want to). These skills can be transferable to the workplace, where adaptability and problem-solving are crucial in a fast-paced and dynamic corporate environment.

Trust and Relationship Building: Building trust and fostering positive relationships among team members is vital in any corporate setting. Horses, as prey animals, are highly attuned to trust and require a sense of safety to form connections with humans. The acitivites used in our teams program helps promote trust-building and facilitate the development of authentic relationships among team members, leading to a more cohesive and collaborative work environment.
