Are session delivered by a qualified therapist?

Yes, our equine therapy sessions are delivered by therapists who are trained in traditional room based counselling/psychotherapy, and who are then further trained in Equine assisted therapy, this model is much more than therapy next to a horse, but rather is a holistic approach that invites the equine partner to be active agents of change in session for the clients.

Do I need to have horse experience?

No, zero previous horse experience is required and in fact many people start with a slight fear of horses. The therapist will work closely with the client to ensure comfort, saftey and positive exepreices are prioritised.

Do I need special equipment?

No, we only require closed toe shoes and encourage the wearing of long sleeves and a hat on sunny days.

Is it just for kids or adults too?

We are able to support all ages from 6 years and up. Many adults find equine assisted therapy a preffered choice to traditional room based therapy and often find they get the results they have not been able to find elsewhere.
